It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Village announces the passing of our Village President, Hilbert ‘Slug’ Radtke.  Slug served our community as a Trustee since December of 2000, and as President since 2012.  He was a gracious and humble leader, always giving credit to others for their accomplishments (even if they were his) and inspiring all of us here to do and be better than yesterday.  He was a proponent of growth and change here in Wausaukee and helped pave the way for improvement projects both passed, present, and future.  Slug was the definition of selflessness, a true humanitarian, and served his community with compassion and an eternal optimism.  We at the Village will strive to lead by his example in the days ahead.

On behalf of the Village Trustees and staff, we offer our sincerest condolences to Lyla and family for the loss of their husband and father.  Rest in peace, Slug – we’ll miss you always.

Open Book:  Pursuant to Wis. Stat. Sec. 70.45, notice is hereby given that the 2020 assessment roll will be open for public inspection in the clerk’s office at the Wausaukee Village Hall on Monday, May 4, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Property owners wishing to file an objection can obtain forms in the Clerk’s office.  Call Assessor Ryan Raatz, R & R Assessing Services, LLC, to schedule an appointment at (920) 846-4250.

Board of Review:  Notice is hereby given that the Board of Review for the Village of Wausaukee will be held at the Wausaukee Village Hall, 428 Harrison Avenue, Wausaukee, WI, on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  Persons wishing to appeal their assessment to the Board of Review are encouraged to give notice of their intent to do so in writing to the clerk at least 48 hours before the Board of Review begins.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Wausaukee Municipal Board of Canvassers will hold a meeting at 4:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the Wausaukee Village Hall, 428 Harrison Avenue, Wausaukee, WI 54177, to complete the canvass of the municipal offices from the April 7^th Spring Election.  Click here to read the official notice.
