BOARD MEETINGS – Village of Wausaukee monthly Board meetings are held at the Wausaukee Village Hall, 428 Harrison Avenue, at 6pm on the third Wednesday of the month from October through April, and the third Monday of the month from May through September. Notices are posted at the Village Hall, Stephenson National Bank & Trust, Wausaukee Post Office, and Sal’s Foods. ELECTIONS – All elections are held at the Wausaukee Village Hall, 428 Harrison Avenue. Polls are open from 7 am until 8 pm. You may register to vote in the Clerk’s office during normal business hours, or online by visiting www.myvote.wi.gov.
BUILDING PERMITS – Building Permits are required for all alterations, additions, and new construction in the Village. Applications can be acquired in the Clerk’s office or online at www.VillageofWausaukee.com under ‘Village Forms.’ Please submit completed applications to Nature’s Edge Inspection Agency, W11954 Kitty Dell Circle, Crivitz, WI 54114. UTILITY BILLS – The Wausaukee Water & Sewer Utility bills quarterly (1/1, 4/1, 7/1, 10/1) for services. Payments can be made in person at the Village Hall or Great North Bank. You may also send payments by mail to Wausaukee Water & Sewer Utility, PO Box 475, Wausaukee, WI 54177. Online payments are also accepted at www.VillageofWausaukee.com.
GARBAGE PICK UP – Garbage and recycling pick-up is on Monday (unless Monday is a legal holiday, then garbage collection will be on Tuesday). Please have your garbage out by 6 am. Garbage must be bagged, and weigh less than 50 lbs. Recyclables should be in a Waste Management provided container – these containers are free to Village residents and can be picked up at the Village Hall. You do not need to separate or bag your recycling.
The driver will not pick up garbage if he feels threatened by any dogs, or if garbage has been torn apart. Building/construction supplies or scraps will not be picked up. Please contact Waste Management at 800-621-8884 for dumpster rental information.
TAXES – Real Estate and Personal Property taxes (full or half payments) are due by January 31st. Please make checks payable and send to:

If you need a receipt, please included a self-addressed stamped envelope. Second half real estate taxes are due July 31st payable to the Marinette County Treasurer.Second half Personal Property taxes are due July 31st and must be paid to the Village Treasurer.
DOG LICENSING – All dogs 6 months old or older must be licensed annually by April 1st in the Clerk’s office. A Certificate of Rabies Vaccination by a licensed veterinarian is needed to obtain a license.
